ITF-21-23,July2022, Pragati Maidan Summary
Textile Fares India, 21st-23rd July 2022,
Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Recycled polymer fibre fabrics, regenerated fibre fabrics are the most sought fabrics in innovation category.
Extracts of lotus, rose petals, eucalyptus, orange, banana, milk, bamboo and what not are already in market to be used in garment and textiles. Practically their strength and dye-ability will be soon know to all as we use them in production.
Rayon is perhaps the eldest brother of all these.
In natural fibre fabric category hemp and flax were the dominating ones, where as banana fibre is crowned as the super fiber. Banana fibre has least water footprint than all natural fibres. Occupies less soil during cultivation and has good textile properties. Again dye-ability is a matter of concern here too.
Mix varieties of fabrics(blends)- micro-modal/cotton, lyocell/cotton, micromodal/tencel, viscose melanges are popular ones.
